Science Tuesday, December 23, 2025 00 °c Log In Tissue Engineering Application and its Potential Science Tissue engineering is a method that originated from the field of biomaterials development and refers to the process of mixing scaffolds, cells, and biologically active chemicals to create functional tissues. Tissue engineering seeks to build functional constructions that replace, preserve, or improve damaged tissues or entire organs. Artificial skin and cartilage are two examples of synthetic tissues; nevertheless, their usage in human patients is currently limited. Tissue Engineering vs Regenerative Medicine: The phrases 'tissue engineering' and regenerative medicine' are frequently interchanged. Both are concerned with the repair, preservation, and restoration of biological tissues. The main distinction is that tissue engineering is concerned with developing tissues outside of the body. Regenerative medicine focuses on how tissue-engineering techniques can be utilized to restore tissue within the body in a healthcare context. The long-term goal of much tissue engineering research is to build a construct that can be used in the clinic. Tissue engineering research is an essential initial step in the development of regenerative medicine medicines. The Process of Tissue Engineering: Tissue is the basic unit of function in the body, and cells are the building blocks of tissue. Extracellular matrix is a type of support structure that cells create and produce. This matrix, or scaffold, serves as a relay station for many signaling molecules in addition to supporting the cells. As a result, cells receive messages from a variety of sources that become available in the immediate environment. Each signal can initiate a series of events that determine what happens to the cell. The method frequently begins with the construction of a scaffold from a variety of different materials, ranging from proteins to polymers. After scaffolds have been built, cells with or without a "cocktail" of growth agents can be added. A tissue develops if the conditions are favorable. Cells, scaffolds, and growth factors are sometimes mixed together at the same time, allowing the tissue to "self-assemble." The Principle of Tissue Engineering: Stem cells. Cells that can develop (differentiate) into more than one type of cell. The most well-known examples are embryonic stem cells, which have the ability to transform into any type of cell in the body. Bioactive molecules. Substances that have an influence on living tissue. This could refer to signaling molecules or growth factors that influence how a stem cell develops in tissue engineering. These bioactive chemicals could be in the nutrition mix used in a lab to develop the cell. During the manufacturing stage, they might also be incorporated into the 3D scaffold. 3D scaffold. Three-dimensional structures which assist the development of stem cells into the chosen cell or tissue type. Cells are frequently cultivated in the lab on flat surfaces or suspended in liquid. A 3D scaffold is more like the 3D environment of the body. Tissue Engineering in Research & Therapeutic Application: Normal tissue development studies. They may monitor how specific alterations affect developing tissue by regulating the environment. This enables them to respond to highly specific questions. There will always be unknown elements that cannot be controlled while doing a study on animals or humans. Researchers can regulate environmental changes and precisely measure the outcomes in a tissue-engineered model. Therapies testing. Tissue-engineered structures can be used to test medications to check if they are safe for a certain tissue type or to examine how they affect a disease model. Tissue level disease studies. Collecting cells from patients with the ailment and comparing the development of their tissue with cells from healthy patients is one technique to research a condition at the tissue level. Other Areas of Tissue Engineering Application: Tissue engineering is already being used in regenerative medicine. Blood arteries and heart valves, on the other hand, are already being grown and implanted in clinical settings. Skin tissue engineering is also widely used in reconstructive surgery and burn care. Although tissue engineering from internal organs, such as liver, kidney, or heart muscle tissue, is being extensively explored, it is not yet suitable for practical usage. While the function of these tissues is still too complex today, this is viewed as a viable future strategy. The same is true for prostheses that fit flawlessly and even grow with the body. Tissue engineering is also the focus of basic scientific study, with investigations being undertaken into cellular growth mechanisms, cell communication, and medication effects, for example. Simultaneously, extensive research is being performed into meat farming for food production. The Future of Tissue Engineering: The scope of TE is enormous. The impact of TE on society will be significant. It promises the possibility of long-term improvement in human life quality, as well as a reduction in the societal and economic costs connected with healthcare and life expectancy. It has the ability to detect pathological problems earlier, minimize the harshness of therapy, and result in a better therapeutic outcome for the patient. It may discover fresh techniques to promote health and longevity promotion. Obviously, the ultimate goal is to monitor, correct, and improve all human biological systems. 2023/10/16 Share Women Pi: Maritza Tsabitah Works Cited > News Science Robinson Review Favorites A Review of Alternative Bottleless Water Ooho Dongha Kim Three Reasons Why the U.S. Shot Down the Chinese Spy Balloon Seunghyeon Lee How Truly Significant Is the Collapse of the Silicon Valley Bank on the U.S. Economy? • Six Strategies to Eliminate Loneliness

Opinion Tuesday, December 23, 2025 00 °c Log In Six Strategies to Eliminate Loneliness Opinion 5 Many people feel lonely at some point in their lives; how long it lasts varies among people. In this case, you think negatively about yourself, and the risk of depression and anxiety increases. The most prevalent cause for loneliness is feeling unable to express their feelings or issues. In fact, they even feel that they either don't matter to others, or are not understood. Then, how can we overcome loneliness? 1. Acknowledge your feelings Identifying what you are feeling is one of the most important things you can do when dealing with loneliness. If you don't know what you are dealing with, a solution cannot be found. Once you accept the fact that we are lonely, you can take a step back and see how loneliness is affecting your life. 2. Use your time. If you use your time alone to achieve what you want, you can control that time yourself. This prevents you from focusing on the feeling of being lonely as you can use your time as you want. You can start a new hobby or try to reach your goal; the key is to choose an activity that is linked to your emotions. 3. Interact with others As aforementioned, people feel lonely when they lack meaningful connections with others. Therefore, one of the best ways to deal with loneliness is to meet people and develop relationships. Volunteering, taking courses, spending time with family; anything creates opportunities to meet people the way you want. 4. Meet someone who has similar experiences It's good to meet someone, but sometimes you get the most connected feeling when you interact with someone who understands what you're going through. Find a variety of online support groups where you can share your experience and build relationships, or if you prefer to meet in person, find a local support group. 5. Prioritize self-management It is important to have a relationship with others, but more important than that is self-management. Balanced eating habits Regular exercise Sufficient sleep Rest Writing thank-you diary are some ways to manage yourself productively. 6. Consider treatment sometimes. Loneliness can't be medically diagnosed, but that doesn't mean you can't get help. Sometimes people need a professional treatment to help beyond going through it themselves. 2023.03/11 Share Insun Yoon Works Cited > News Opinion Robinson Review Favorites A Review of Alternative Bottleless Water Ooho Dongha Kim Three Reasons Why the U.S. Shot Down the Chinese Spy Balloon Seunghyeon Lee How Truly Significant Is the Collapse of the Silicon Valley Bank on the U.S. Economy? • Why Apple Is the Greatest Brand of Our Era

Opinion Tuesday, December 23, 2025 00 °c Log In Why Apple Is the Greatest Brand of Our Era Opinion Share Yechan Kim 2023/03/16 Works Cited > News 0 May 16, 2023 Apple has been around us for as long as I remember. The company has been the leading innovator of our era, even after the death of Steve Jobs, Apple's founder and the genius that was kicked out of his own company. Apple has been in the hands of the heir of Steve Jobs, Tim Cook, who has been considered one of the world's best CEOs. The company has been dominating in terms of total market cap, as well as the number of products sold. It has not only been revolutionizing our daily lives, but the brand has become the symbol of this era's culture. Apple has not always been in the range of success they are in today. Although it is unarguable that Apple's initial success with Apple 2 and its follow-up products including the iMac has allowed computers to become easily accessible to ordinary consumers, the company also had periods when they were on the verge of going bankrupt. But with the invention of Apple's iPhone and iPod in the 2000s, the company achieved a dramatic turnaround in Steve Jobs' early 40s. His philosophy was to make a product that has a simple but fashionable design. Steve Jobs' was already known well for implementing these philosophies to his products, as he even applied it to his own fashion by wearing his trademark combination of a black turtleneck with blue jeans. Apple was also able to revolutionize marketing and advertisements. Instead of trying to explicitly show the audience their products' functions, they 'made' people want to know more about their product. With the combination of a fast-paced video of their product, as well as a trendy song that attracts viewers, customers looked for their product, making a self-sustaining business product. The iPhone was followed by the products including iPod, iMac, iPad, Macbook, and many more. After Steve Jobs' death, Tim Cook followed his legacy in leading the company to success. Apple's value has skyrocketed, being worth more than 10 times it was when Steve Jobs was alive. Their series of products continued, as they expanded further into the industry, releasing products like the AirPods that have once again shocked the world. The company has survived its critics and hardships throughout the years, including the lack of innovation in the function of its products, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Now Apple is seeking to continue its success and domination in the world, as well as expand its industry into areas such as automobiles and digital technology. As a high school student who is aware of the opinions of the younger generation, it is quite easy to see why Apple is the most valuable brand in the world. Apple's products have become the symbol of the innovation of this era and are the trendsetter of our generation. Apple has become a part of this era's culture, and its products have been trending worldwide with their fashionable but simple design. People desire to bring Apple's products to their everyday lives, as it is able to show each person's personality without excessiveness. The most prominent examples include AirPods and the Apple Watch, both providing good quality functions but also a design that seems to attract others. A day without their product is unimaginable at this point, and it is expected that Apple will continue to expand its franchise to solidify its dominance as the greatest brand of this era. • How 9/11 Reshaped the Global Security Policies

Politics November 22, 2023 at 3:00:11 PM 00 °c Log In Politics How 9/11 Reshaped the Global Security Policies Politics 2023/11/12 Share Minji Kim On September 11, 2001, nineteen al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four fuel-loaded commercial airplanes; two of them crashed into the World Trade Center (WTC) in New York City and one into the Pentagon near Washington, DC. After the attempt to retake the flight deck by the passengers and crew, the fourth plane crashed in a Pennsylvania rural area. These attacks killed 2,977 people including nineteen terrorists. This deadliest terrorist attack was arranged by Osama bin Laden, the leader of a pan-Islamic extremist group named al Qaeda. Most of the nations were aghast and they immediately responded to the 9/11 attack by commenting on the terror as “brutal action”. George W. Bush, former president of the United States, declared “war on terror” on September 20th, 2001, and announced the creation of an Office of Homeland Security to protect his nation from future terrorist attacks. The U.S. used this term to describe its military responses post-9/11. As a result of the promise from the U.S. to the citizens and the world to eliminate terrorist groups, the U.S. army invaded Afghanistan in 2001 to demolish the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. This action had a notable shift in U.S. foreign policy and impacted international military arrangements. According to Christopher Wray, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the 9/11 attack shifted the global security system from post-event terrorist plans and attack investigations to preemptive action. Multiple nations define this act as counterterrorism, which is an act to prevent and respond to similar terrorist attacks. Post-9/11 marks a turning point for multiple nations, as they recognize the need for collaborating with international cooperation and intelligence to prevent transnational threats. Wray said, “We became an intelligence-based national security and law enforcement organization—one that collects, uses, and shares intelligence in everything we do.” He emphasized the importance of sharing intelligence because the 9/11 attack exemplifies one of the most fatal mistakes regarding the lack of sharing information and communication. Therefore, the majority of the nations significantly modified their use of intelligence in a cooperative way to prevent any terrorist attacks; not limited to the domestic intelligence community and law enforcement, but additionally to the private sector and foreign intelligence community. The preponderance of nations implemented a whole-of-government approach to combat terrorism by prioritizing gathering and sharing intelligence with various partners in order to construct an integrated understanding of potential risks and understand how they interact among the actors who pose threats. This deliberate strategy enables the government to notify other agencies to address the actions using the authority and to leverage the nation’s broader capabilities when confronting the danger. • The Possible Revival of Venezuelan Economy

Economics Tuesday, December 23, 2025 00 °c Log In Economics The Possible Revival of Venezuelan Economy Economics 12/10/2023 Share Juan Lim (Justin) Under the dictatorship of Nicolas Maduro, the economy of Venezuela has been turbulent in recent years. Although Venezuela has the greatest crude oil reserve in the world, corruption, excessive money printing, and sanctions by the US have prevented the nation from making the most out of its natural resources. With a record-high hyperinflation rate of 80,000% in 2018, it seemed like the Venezuelan economy would spiral out of control. However, on October 18th, the Biden administration announced that the US would ease the sanctions, authorizing Venezuela “to produce and export oil to its chosen markets for the next six months without limitation.” In exchange, the US demanded the freedom of opposition political parties and the release of US hostages. Why would the US change its approach to Venezuela, a country that has been following the anti-American route for decades? Since the Ukraine War, Russia weaponized fossil fuel. When the allies of Ukraine such as the EU imposed economic sanctions on Russia, Russia reacted by cutting the natural gas pipes to Europe and banning the export of diesel and gasoline. This eventually led to increased oil prices, causing significant global inflation. The US reacted by setting a new record high in natural gas production, desperately trying to increase the supply. However, the recent Israel-Hamas conflict made the situation worse for the US. The summit held between Islamic nations in the Middle East condemned “Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, war crimes and barbaric and inhumane massacres by the occupation government.” Since the US supports the self-defense of Israel against the attack of Hamas, the atmosphere of reconciliation in the Middle East vanished and the negotiations with the major oil suppliers in the region have become highly challenging. Since both Russia and the OPEC members in the Middle East became enemies of the US, the US government had to look for another option to increase crude oil production to ensure a steady supply. On the list of the top 10 countries with the most crude oil reserves, only Canada and Venezuela are left after removing Russia and Middle Eastern countries. As a result, the US had no other option but to reach out to Venezuela, asking to increase fossil fuel production. Soon, Venezuela’s economy might be able to revive as the key supplier of oil across the world. It seemed like the value of crude oil reserves had reduced greatly throughout recent years as countries are moving towards more eco-friendly policies and pushing the reduction of fossil fuel usage. However, the economic harm caused by the two wars and the increase in oil prices proves that the era of fossil fuel has not ended. Even the greatest power in the world, the US, had to make a complete change in its policy regarding affairs with another country even though it opposes its key values of democracy and freedom. Until humans find a way to completely replace fossil fuel, the power of oil producers will remain strong. • North Korea’s declaration of war and its effect

Science Tuesday, December 23, 2025 00 °c Log In Science North Korea’s declaration of war and its effect Science 01/20/2024 Share Soyee Kim On December 28, Kim Jong-un, leader of North Korea, claimed that they are currently preparing for war. He said that the security of the Korean Peninsula has become “severely dangerous” since the United States “unprecedented” act motivated North Korea to start a war (Soo-yeon). In 2024, North Korea is planning to launch three more military spy satellites, build military drones, and boost its nuclear arsenal. Pyongyang has already put a spy satellite into orbit in November with Russia which was already their third attempt that month. The goal of North Korea seems to be preparing for war with South Korea, especially Kim Jong-un ordered to “pacify the entire territory of South Korea”. North Korea seems to continue its military pressure since there is a November presidential election in the US. Moreover, North Korea views South Korea not as a sole country, but as a foreign power, relying a lot on the United States. The relationship between Moscow, China, and North Korea is predicted to continue the relationship which is shown by Kim Jong-un inviting Vladimir Putin to visit the reclusive nuclear-armed country. Also, according to CNN, Kim Jong-un and Xi Jinping have exchanged New Year’s messages saying that they will promote exchange and visits in various fields (Seo). After the outbreak of COVID-19, the life of North Korean people became much more poor as North Korea’s government contained the entire country from the rest of the world. Thus, if the war starts, North Korean people’s lives are expected to suffer from severe poverty. • Netanyahu as Israel’s Prime Minister: Judicial Branch Reform Is On Its Way

Magazine Tuesday, December 23, 2025 00 °c Log In Netanyahu as Israel’s Prime Minister: Judicial Branch Reform Is On Its Way Magazine Share Eunnuri Cho, Seungah Hong, Soomin Hwang, Sangwon Jeong, Hyunbin Jo, Nayeon Kwak, Seoun Kim, Chaeyi Ku, Byungyoun Lee, Jiwon Moon, Jeonseo Park, Sieeun Park, Yusang Yoon 2023/04/23 Works Cited > News 0 4/23/2023 Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, attempted to change legislation that overhauls the appointment of judges and increased political involvement in the Israel court. Accordingly, Israel's judiciary system is facing a crisis, and proposals from the opponents of Netanyahu’s legislation are protesting to stop the situation. Opponents strongly disagree with the new legislation because they are concerned that it will undermine the independence of the judiciary and strengthen the power of the government. This may lead to dictatorship and autocracy of Netanyahu, and make his power invincible in Israel. The proposed legislation changes the way judges are appointed. Legal expertise was prioritized when choosing judges for court, however, the new legislation may focus on the new judges’ political loyalty and increase the number of political appointees. This legislation is currently being debated in the Knesset - the unicameral legislature of Israel. Critics argue that the reason for Netanyahu's new legislation proposal is for his upcoming elections for prime minister. He wishes to consolidate his power and weaken the judiciary in order to carry on corruption and criminal offenses he has been accused of doing in the past. If Netanyahu gains power over the court, he will be able to avoid accountability of his illegality. The prime minister will also be able to influence judges to be sympathetic to his political agenda. The legislation is being opposed by various groups in Israel; human rights organizations, legal associations, and opposition parties. Supporters say that the political interference in the court will increase effectiveness in the court and improve the environment of the judiciary. The opposition argue that the changes will undermine the independence of the court and judges, and promote the political power of the Israel government. The issue has been debated across the country and is a complex problem. It is hoped that the debate in the Knesset will be completed with a reasonable and judicious decision as this issue holds many consequences due to its final conclusion. Recently, the scale of the protests in Israel has been overheating in various regions and cities across the country. All eyes are now upon the developments in a situation which has been the most serious internal crisis of the current government led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu which is pushing for drastic judicial reforms. Protesters are demanding the cancellation of the proposed judicial reforms and Netanyahu’s resignation. As the new coalition government established after the recent election in Israel is the most right-wing government in the country’s history, this mass protest will be a major and influential factor which determines the future direction of Israel. The meaning and influence of this protest and how it will affect the economy in Israel is analyzed here. As political confusion surges over the controversial judicial reforms pushed by right-wing Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli shekel was down nearly 6% in February. This is the lowest value against the dollar in three years. This uncertainty of the shekel’s future monetary value will likely cause some marginal harm to its investment attractiveness. Additionally, several renowned economists, including 11 Nobel Laureates, have signed an open letter on Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to weaken Israel’s democracy and damage its judicial independence. To be specific, based on their arguments, a strong and independent judiciary is a critical part of a system of checks and balances. Undermining it would be detrimental not only to democracy but also to economic prosperity and growth. The huge uncertainty that would come out of this chaos would ultimately leave the Israeli economy in a tailspin. On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has shown steadfast confidence in his stance. He also directly mentioned the plan by his new right-wing government to overhaul the judiciary, which has been under increasing criticism with potent protests. He claims his reforms will not harm the country’s economy. At a news conference with Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, he said, “In recent days, I have been hearing concerns regarding the impact of judicial reform on our economic resilience. …The exact opposite is true”. As stated in his remark, he seems firm in his support for and willingness to overhaul the judiciary. An estimated 160,000 protesters took to the streets of Tel Aviv over the weekend, with tens of thousands more gathering in other cities to protest against the governing coalition’s legal overhaul. Basically, all citizens are fundamental economic resources which control the operation of the market and its workforce. This automatically creates an air of anxiety and worry about an economic slump among the country’s populace. Because of this, the former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak called Netanyahu’s plans an assassination of the constitution, which will turn Israel into a dictatorship. With this kind of criticism from within Israel, the Israeli public’s mood is getting darker. Netanyahu and Israeli Judicial Branch reforms have obviously had a huge impact on the general mood of the country, especially in the field of economics. As mentioned above, the size of the protests have been getting larger and the voices have also been growing louder. The prime minister is facing pressure from the protesters; however, he is also dependent on his right-wing ministers to remain in power. I truly hope this conflict between the government and its citizens will be resolved as soon as possible. • Elon Musk and the Future

Economics Tuesday, December 23, 2025 00 °c Log In Economics Elon Musk and the Future Economics 01/24/2024 Share Dowoon Lee (Bill) Within the last few decades, Elon Musk became the richest man in the world. Yet, many people don’t recognize the impact of Elon Musk on world economics. His success in the electric car market, space travel, and media is making him the most impactful individual on the Earth. Musk’s decades-long mission to develop an electric car has finally culminated as Tesla, a multibillion corporation boasting countless sales worldwide. . Two large contributing factors to this project have been governments’ indirect support and the public’s preferences. In the face of heavy environmental degradation and calamities, individuals started to emphasize the need for climate action. The only obstacle to this–they just didn’t have enough motivation to actively make changes. After Tesla was commercialized, individuals could relieve their responsibility by passively buying eco-friendly cars. In addition, governments worldwide are also trying to make policies that support firms that try to prevent climate changes, and Tesla is included as one of them. Therefore, we can conclude that Elon Musk is and will continue to increase his influence on the car market, possibly posing a threat to classic oil-fueled models. The entrepreneur has also extended his interest to space travel. SpaceX, the firm at the forefront of Musk’s efforts, have succeeded in creating reusable rockets and exerting almost full monopoly over the industry. Government regulations on SPACEX have also been sparse, as it is the only firm to recent date that has been successful at making eco-friendly space rockets. As a result, his dominance on this market will also increase, rendering other companies to be dependent on SPACEX’s choices. Last but not least, Elon has control over one of the largest media in the world, X, formerly known as Twitter. While X does not have complete dominance over competing firms, it is still one of the most popular social media platforms worldwide. Musk can therefore censor or suggest certain contents, subtly driving users away from toward certain products. In other words, X can be used to manipulate users’ thoughts to increase the CEO’s own profits and decrease other firms' profits. In conclusion, Elon Musks’ dominance over several large markets and media may result in numerous other companies to be dependent on his choice. However, views on this are still ambivalent. If Musk makes the right choices and leads world economics toward a hopeful path, his efforts should be commended. Otherwise, his multi-industry dominance should be dispersed to others for a better future. • Unveiling the Moral Imperative: Examining Tech Giants' Responsibility in Safeguarding Children Online | The Robinson Review

Weekdays, Month Day, Year 00 °c Log In Economics Unveiling the Moral Imperative: Examining Tech Giants' Responsibility in Safeguarding Children Online Economics 03/03/2024 Share Celine Park On January 31th, 2024, the US Senate Judiciary Committee conducted a hearing titled “Big Tech and the Online Child Sexual Exploitation Crisis” on the CEOs for five major social media platforms. The CEOs of Meta, TikTok, Discord, X, and Snap were asked what they are doing to protect the children using their platforms. Supporters of the accusations argue that it is the companies' responsibility to ensure user safety. This involves ensuring children from exploitation and harassment. They believe parents struggle to keep pace with evolving technology and rely on companies to police their platforms. Failure to do so, whether intentional or not, should have consequences, given the moral and ethical obligations involved. Critics claim that tech companies prioritize profits over addressing fundamental issues such online child exploitation. They argue that media platforms profit from sensational content, which often involves disturbing content that attracts clicks and advertisement revenue. Despite rising stock prices, resources for monitoring and preventing abuse, including sexual exploitation, are being cut. Opponents of strict scrutiny argue that tech CEOs have already implemented overdue child safety measures and are making efforts to regulate their platforms. However, critics argue that these actions have not been sufficient, as evidenced by ongoing instances of abuse and exploitation affecting countless minors. In conclusion, the debate surrounding the responsibility of tech companies to protect children online is multifaceted. While some argue that CEOs have taken overdue steps to address the issue, others contend that these efforts have been insufficient given the persistent nature of online harm. The ethical and moral imperative to protect vulnerable users, particularly minors, remains paramount. As technology continues to evolve, it is crucial for both regulators and tech companies to work collaboratively towards effective solutions that prioritize the safety and well-being of all users. • Senators demand for child safety against major tech companies | The Robinson Review

Weekdays, Month Day, Year 00 °c Log In Science Senators demand for child safety against major tech companies Science 03/03/2024 Share Soyee Kim On January 31 2024, the major tech companies – Meta, X, TikTok, Snap, and Discord – testified on ‘safeguarding children’ on their Social Network Services (SNS). Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, made an apology to the parents of teenage victims of online exploitation. I thought it was great responsibility of Mark Zuckerberg to do so, however, I believe that the accusations made by the committee are not valid. Today, we live in a world where technology continues to develop and most people own a digital device. We can barely find people without the social media account. In social media, people can do different things such as posting their daily lifestyle, education, and advertisement. Although tech companies put an age restriction when making a new account, there are still a lot of children who access these platforms by faking their age. The company put an age restriction since there are a lot of inappropriate things for kids to watch. Even if the company considered the children’s safety, it is the children who avoided the rule. The parents should not blame these CEOs for not protecting the children ahead. Parents must restrict their children from being on social media for instance, the parents should add a ‘screen time’ on their children’s phones so that they have no access to harmful media. Therefore, it is the parent’s fault, not the CEO company's responsibility. The parents should have paid more attention to their children in order for them to not lead in harmful ways. • The Metaverse: Is It Just a Buzzword or the Next Big Thing?

Business Tuesday, December 23, 2025 00 °c Log In The Metaverse: Is It Just a Buzzword or the Next Big Thing? Business 1 What if I told you everything that you know about life was going to change? How you play games, how you eat, how you shop, how you hang out with your friends, and even how you go to work. You can hang out with your friend in a separate physical space with a small, packable rectangular headset that greets you into the astoundingly fabulous digital world when you put it on your eyes. Recall back to the pandemic, when everyone was locked down in their stifling room restrained to go out and work, play, and socialize. The usage of the internet and social media increased, and people started to value the digital presence of the world more. Technology is rapidly developing. The world is gradually digitizing. The Metaverse is what’s next. This is a three-dimensional world where you are watching people in a digital world where you can’t even tell the difference, and walking around a three-dimensional version of yourself in this alternative universe. That’s the Metaverse. The universe is physical, and the metaverse is an alternative reality that’s going to be an additional layer on the top layer of where we are today. The development of Metaverse is triggering a huge impact on the world and is relentlessly transforming our daily lives. Virtual reality like Metaverse is and will become an influential and pervasive aspect of the whole world’s future, which will dramatically impact the lives of current society. Its leverage will greatly impact the everyday life of people, thus affecting the trend of business and the job market. Augmented reality is rapidly developing, and is poised to greet every customer to use it in the near future. Hence, it’s integral for firms to embrace the unfamiliar, but influential technology in their business. Metaverse is and will dramatically upend people’s socialization. One example that best epitomizes such socialization can be a concert. GameIndustry revealed the stunning 20 million dollars and 12.3 million players that worldwide pop star Travis Scott grossed on his performance in Fortnite. This is much more than one of his best concerts, which yielded 1.7 million dollars with only 50,000 audiences. Physical concerts are expensive and frantic due to the congestion of people. However, the experience in the metaverse removes all those flaws. Imagine not having to drive in 20-minute traffic lots to go to a concert. Imagine being able to do this cheaper, more effectively, and then also just getting this more immersive experience that you never could before. Moreover, Metaverse will upend the customer environment in buying the commodities, making it more convenient for customers to determine the purchase. Nike and Adidas already have their own metaverse collections. Other luxurious fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and Gucci are all hosting their digital fashion shows. People are going to obtain the preference for shopping via the digital world, in matters of convenience and contracted dissatisfaction. According to Internet Retailing, 89% of surveyed customers had complaints and dissatisfaction on affording cloth online, owing to delivery issues, size issues, etc. Imagine putting on a headset, having a three-dimensional avatar of yourself having exactly the same physique, and you’re able to buy clothes, fit them on that virtual self of you, and determine the purchase. And this applies not only to cloth but to everything you buy. Metaverse will dramatically impact people's vocations as well. TechnologyMagazine states that the digital workforce connects myriads of members in the corporate world to convene with each other and work without any limitation of time, place, and cost. With the Metaverse, people can interact with their co-workers and bosses and feel immersed in distant meetings. Forbes says Metaverse will also have huge leverage on businesses in film, healthcare, real estate, e-commerce, manufacturing, etc. Various technology firms are investing considerably in the development of augmented reality to answer those skepticisms. An article from ThoughtsWork stated that “the use of Metaverse has been further entrenched with Meta’s recent $10 billion bond issue and many other related Metaverse investments.” Google also invested 69 and a half million dollars into private equity funds for the Metaverse. All technology behemoths want to monopolize such a lucrative business, as they already penetrate the prevalence and instrumentality of augmented reality to every aspect of the gradually digitizing world. Competitions between firms along with tremendous investments will imminently lead this technology to its peak. The change that’s stated above is only the tip of a giant iceberg. Metaverse can affect how you socialize, shop, and work. It can also dramatically change the workforce environment and trends. However, the immense endeavor and investments from big firms will make it possible to impact the everyday factor of your life. The firms embracing such novel technology will be benefited, while the firms neglecting it will encounter a bleak future. 2023/03/11 Share Dowoon Lee, Seunghyeon Lee, Chanseo Ryu Works Cited > News Business Robinson Review Favorites A Review of Alternative Bottleless Water Ooho Dongha Kim Three Reasons Why the U.S. Shot Down the Chinese Spy Balloon Seunghyeon Lee How Truly Significant Is the Collapse of the Silicon Valley Bank on the U.S. Economy?
